Wenn Christen verfolgt werden, schaut die Weltöffentlichkeit weg. Zwar ist es schwer, verlässliche Informationen zu bekommen. Klar ist jedoch: In Syrien, einem der ältesten christlichen Länder überhaupt, droht nicht nur der schleichende Genozid an Fahrt aufzunehmen, damit verbunden ist die kulturelle und spirituelle Auslöschung einer uralten Zivilisation.
